The Japanese company is celebrating the thirty-year anniversary of the first PlayStation.
Sony announced that the PlayStation 5 console family will receive a limited anniversary edition, including the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition, the PlayStation 5 Pro, the two types of DualSense gamepads, and the PlayStation Portal accessory. What’s more, the optical drive, which can be purchased separately, also comes with a cover that matches the color.
As you know, the first edition of the PlayStation was released on December 3, 1994, and it is safe to say that it had a market-shaping effect. Of course, Sony has moved away from the iconic color combination by now, but on the occasion of the 30th anniversary, they are returning to the beginning.

Sony will take pre-orders for the 30th Anniversary Limited Edition solutions from September 26, and for some products from October 10.
