The German manufacturer will soon launch orders for the new Audi A3 Allstreet 40 TFSI e in France, which is sold from €49,800.
The range of the restyled A3 is completed with the arrival of a plug-in hybrid engine on theAudi A3 Allstreet 40 TFSI e.
A 204 horsepower plug-in hybrid engine
After launching the plug-in hybrid engine on the restyled Audi A3 Sportback, it is the turn of its adventurous Audi A3 Allstreet version to receive the “40 TFSI e” engine, which combines a 1.5 liter TFSI evo2 turbocharged four-cylinder unit with 150 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque to an electric motor with 116 horsepower (85 kW) and 330 Nm of torque.
The set offers a combined power of 204 horsepower for 350 Nm of torquewith the possibility of drive in 100% electric mode up to nearly 140 km/hfor a maximum speed of 225 km/h.
Driving the Audi A3 Allstreet 40 TFSI e adapts to the driver’s preferences, thanks to an “EV” button allowing you to favor driving in 100% electric mode, while the “Auto Hybrid” mode takes the best of both motors, thermal and electric. This will favor the electric motor at low speed, and will use the gasoline engine at high speed. THE hybrid management system maintains a sufficient battery charge level to be able, for example, to subsequently drive in 100% electric mode in a low-emission zone.
Audi A3 Allstreet 40 TFSI e: prices
The high voltage battery with a gross capacity of 25,7 kWh (19.7 kWh net) can be recharged using direct current at fast charging stations up to a power of 50 kWallowing you to regain 80% autonomy in less than 30 minutes. Charging with alternating current is also possible thanks to a wallbox or a slow charging station, up to a power of 11 kW, allowing you to recharge to 80% in 2.5 hours. For the latter, a Mode 3 cable comes standard with the car.
Audi also offers its customers the service Audi Chargingwhich gives them access to some 630,000 charging points in 29 European countries, including Audi’s state-of-the-art charging centers in Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Nuremberg, Zurich and Salzburg.
The Audi A3 Allstreet 40 TFSI e will be sold at a starting price from 49,800 euros for the entry-level version (Audi A3 Allstreet), and from 54,250 euros for the Audi A3 Allstreet Avus comfort finish.
Orders for the Audi A3 Allstreet 40 TFSI e will be open in France from mid-November 2024.
