In the infamous Vienna district of Favoriten, the criminal investigators are dealing with a new serious crime.
The 45-year-old suspect turned himself in at the police station. His sister persuaded him to surrender and confess the crime. But not in Vienna, but in Linz, which is a good two-hour drive from the Austrian capital. He told the police that he had committed a serious crime and directed them to an apartment in Vienna’s Favoriten district, where most crimes against life and limb have been committed in recent years. The police broke into the apartment around noon and saw a scene that was quite shocking for them. A dead man with an ax in his head. Injuries were also visible on other parts of the body, a representative of the Vienna police told the Krone Zeitung Markus Dittrich.
The police will thoroughly interrogate the suspect, it is said to be a dispute over drugs, and then they will file an appropriate criminal complaint with the competent prosecutor’s office.
