The Police Director of Fthiotida was found dead in his home

The Police Director of Fthiotida Brigadier General Christos Moutsokos was found dead on Friday afternoon at his home.

As the local press reports, the 56-year-old head of the Fthiotida Police Department was on leave. In the afternoon, he did not answer his daughter’s calls, who also looked for him at the Service, putting her on the alert.

Colleagues of the Brigadier actually arrived at his house and found him dead in the living room, probably from a seizure.

Christos Moutsokos was one of the most active officers of the Greek Police, with great success when he was the Commander of the Lamia Security Department.

He then took over the Police Directorate of Evrytania before returning to Lamia and to the deputy headquarters of the General Regional Police Directorate of Sterea.

In February 2023, he took over as director of the Fthiotida Police Department, a position he has held until today.
