The production of Porsche 911 Dakar has reached the end of the line. THE 2500 copies planned for this special series have taken shape. To celebrate the closure of the production cycle, the Stuttgart company was pyrotechnic, with the delivery of a special interpretation of the model, the result of program special requestwhich offers the possibility of configuring the car according to the customer’s wishes. In the case in question, extensive use was made of the customization process, to best satisfy the tastes of the person who made the purchase: an Italian collector of sports cars.
The specificity of this Porsche 911 Dakar emerges from the first glance, thanks to the particular three-tone paintwork, carried out ad hoc and exclusively. The colors Signalyellow and Gentian Blue metallic they match perfectly with the Rallye Design package, taking up the look of the car that won the 1984 Paris-Dakar Rally. These two colors are completed by a line in Blue Lampedusaa specific shade that recalls the well-known Mediterranean island, as requested by the car owner. The result is a strong and unmistakable expressive canvas.
The Porsche 911 special request Dakar enriches the scope of customizations with the spokes of the alloy wheels painted in Signalyellow, which give even more character to this unique example. Here the Blue Lampedusa returns to the scene, chosen to decorate the profile. The same color was used for the decorative ring of the LED headlights with Matrix technology. The singular livery of this car was born from a careful and meticulous artisanal process, which involved the customer, whose collaboration was essential.
In the passenger compartment, the dominant color notes are yellow and black. Here too there have been many changes compared to the “standard” model. However, the technical data sheet does not change. The thrust, also in this case, comes from a 3.0-liter twin-turbo 6-cylinder boxer engine, which develops 480 horsepower of maximum power and 570 Nm of torque, on a weight of 1,605 kilograms. The Porsche 911 Dakar, as can be seen from the name, can deal better than its sisters with the dangers of the most troubled roads and theoff-road.
