DAPURPACUID – PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors (KTB) emphasized that the presence of technological innovation in commercial vehicles is very important to contribute positively to the environment and road users.
This was explained by Sales & Marketing Director of PT KTB, Aji Jaya, during a talk show entitled ‘Moving Towards a Sustainable Future with eCanter’, at GIIAS 2024.
According to Aji, Mitsubishi Fuso as the market leader in commercial vehicles in Indonesia will certainly always support government policies.
“One of the ways of supporting this is through the application of Euro4 technology in all Mitsubishi Fuso truck variants,” he explained at the Mitsubishi Fuso booth, Tuesday (23/7).
Therefore, currently all commercial vehicles brought by the manufacturer with the Three Diamond logo at the 2024 GIIAS event have been equipped with Euro 4 emission technology.
Starting from the 4V21 engine on the Canter truck and the 6M60 engine for the Fighter X with Common Rail technology, which produces maximum engine power, higher torque at a longer RPM range, resulting in more optimal performance.
Thanks to Exhaust Gas Recirculation, Positive Crankcase Ventilation and Diesel Oxidation Catalyst Muffler technology, it is able to reduce NOx (Nitrogen Oxide) emission levels so that vehicle exhaust emissions become more environmentally friendly.
Not only that, the presence of eCanter proves KTB’s commitment to the environment without having to sacrifice the performance of commercial vehicles in supporting business operations.
The presence of zero-emission trucks in the country also helps reduce air pollution and negative impacts on the environment, as well as supporting government efforts to reduce carbon emissions and improve air quality in urban areas.
General Manager of Product Strategy Unit PT KTB, Bayu Aprizal explained that eCanter has a much more efficient operational cost of up to 40 percent.
“This amount is quite significant for business owners. Because the cost of electricity to charge is much cheaper than the cost of fossil fuels,” he explained.
Bayu said that the electric trucks imported directly from Japan have fewer moving components, so maintenance and upkeep costs are also lower.
“We present the Fuso eCanter at this year’s GIIAS as a manifestation of the theme we are carrying, namely Leading Innovation, and also as our commitment to the government’s exhaust emission regulations,” he said.
On the other hand, the Japanese automotive manufacturer also emphasized the importance of road safety for commercial vehicles. Because it is undeniable, traffic accidents involving commercial vehicles often occur.
Therefore, KTB emphasized that the presence of the Mitsubishi Fuso eCanter is also a solution that is believed to be able to reduce the high rate of traffic accidents involving commercial vehicles. (dpid/DF)
