The previous authorities brought only crime and corruption, it’s time for a different Budva

The holder of the “URA – Blažo Rađenović – Different” list Blažo Radjenović announced changes in Budva and criticized the long-term government which, according to him, brought nothing but crime and corruption.

At the final election convention, Rađenović condemned the politicians from the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), who, as he pointed out, “just changed their party jerseys”, alluding to their transition to other parties such as the Democratic Front, the Democrats and the Europe Now Movement (PES).

“These are the same people who ransacked Budva for three decades,” said Radjenović, adding that the citizens were “fed up” with such politicians.

Rađenović particularly emphasized the importance of concrete changes in infrastructure and social services. “Budva has no time to wait. “Budva needs concrete moves that will put it back on the track it deserves,” said Radjenović.

He expressed concern about problems in health and education, stating that citizens cannot get basic medicines at the health center and are forced to buy them privately. He also stated that parents must pay for private lessons in order for their children to achieve success in school. “Is it possible that our most important branch of the system is collapsing,” asked Radjenović, referring to the security sector.

He announced plans for infrastructure and housing, promising a program of affordable housing for citizens. “Every third inhabitant of Budva is a tenant, the ‘Stan za sve’ program enables the purchase of apartments at a price of 900 euros per square meter.”

He also emphasized the desire to develop Budva as a “modern capital of tourism and culture” and as a “friendly city that will be representative not only in Montenegro but also in the region”.

Rađenović also condemned the current government for damaging relations with neighboring countries and “inability to reduce the public debt”.

“Is it possible that they have indebted all the citizens of Montenegro over one billion euros in less than a year”, he asked and recalled initiatives such as the return of the ferry which, according to him, “was illegally allocated to the godfathers of Milo Đukanović”, emphasizing that by returning the ferry provided more than 10 million euros to the state budget.

In conclusion, Rađenović pointed out that Budva deserves a “clean, honest and prosperous city”. “We will put that ship back on the right track, bring it into the port of Budva and restore citizens’ trust in the institutions,” he said.

URE leader Dr. Dritan Abazović called on citizens to vote for changes. Congratulating Njegoš on his birthday, he pointed out that the state needs “wisdom more than ever” and condemned the government, calling it “the biggest mockery in the history of Montenegro”.

Abazović also pointed out that the political scene has become “the biggest circus”.

He criticized the Democratic Front (DF) and their allies, accusing them of incompetence and accusing them of creating the “circus” in Budva and Montenegro that they talk about in their political campaign.

“Who ruled this city these four years but you? Who ruled Montenegro except you? We have been swept by a wave of populism, nationalism and crime,” he pointed out.

Abazović emphasized that Budva needs urgent infrastructural changes and the return of property to public ownership.

“The port of Budva belongs to the citizens of Budva, its fishermen and all those who want to use it, but primarily for the benefit of the municipality and this city,” said Abazović.

He also recalled the action to restore the ferry line, which he pointed out was initiated by Blažo Rađenović and URE, not the current authorities.

“The ferry was returned to Montenegro by Blažo Rađenović. Morsko dobro today receives more from the ferry than all the bathing spots from Ulcinj to Hereg Novi. Should they return the Port of Budva? So why don’t they return it when 54 of them are now in power? Because they are cowards and because they are in business with big capital in Budva and Podgorica,” stressed Abazović.

He called on citizens to reject political apathy and go to the polls, warning that abstinence would only further help the “incompetents” in power.

“You have an obligation, moral, human, but also political, to help turn things around and make Budva what it always was,” said Abazović, adding that Budva deserves to be “the engine and main locomotive of Montenegro’s tourism economy.”

Abazović called for the liberation of Budva and Montenegro from “shackles and fences”.

“I want Budva to become the European capital of culture”, announced the candidate for councilor, painter Rajka Kujundžijević.

She emphasized the importance of the support of fellow citizens. “I invite all women and men from Budva who know me to support the electoral list of URA – Different, number 6” on Sunday.

Mirko Savićević, a candidate for councilor, focused on the concrete results of Rađenović.

“That’s why Blažo will be a different president. He returned the ferry line to the property of the state, the city of Pine, the Port of Budva to the citizens and the city, and now, if you trust him, he will restore Sveti Stefan and the old glory to the Queen of the Mediterranean,” Savićević pointed out.

He also added that the current situation in the city requires change and that the URA offers “a different approach, which will solve the communal chaos, increase the number of parking spaces and build a garage in the city center”.

The vice president of the URA Civic Movement, Filip Adžić, called on the men and women of Budva to support the changes that the URA movement and the candidate for the mayor of the municipality, Blažo Rađenović, are offering for the future of the city.

He addressed the crowd with words of support and encouragement, stressing the importance of brave and honest people in Budva who, as he said, “oppose political brokering and the interests of those who brought Budva into a bad state”.

Adžić harshly criticized the current government in Budva, claiming that the city’s institutions are captured by the interests of individuals and criminal structures.

“In all normal countries, it would not be necessary for the opposition to explain why those who manage the municipality from prison should be removed,” said Adžić, adding that the current government is not capable of solving the basic problems of citizens, such as traffic jams and communal challenges.

He stated that, “while others offered fog and empty promises, Blažo Rađenović and the URA offered solutions for Budva’s infrastructural problems, such as a ring road and garages with 500 parking spaces”.

Adžić also emphasized the importance of Rađenović’s proposals for providing affordable housing and free kindergartens for the youngest.

“Budva cannot have a future with criminals, thieves and those who listen to orders from other cities,” said Adžić, alluding to those political actors who, according to him, work exclusively in the interests of their parties or personal ambitions.

Adžić called on the citizens of Budva to support the list “URA – Blažo Rađenović – Different” and to fight for a city that deserves honesty and prosperity.

“I expect all of you to show that Budva deserves something different, that Montenegro deserves something different, because the victory of URE in Budva means a return to the values that every honest citizen values”.

Miško Konić, candidate for councilor and employee of the Municipality of Budva for almost two decades, spoke about the need for modernization and a better organizational system.

“Budva has developed into a big city, but unfortunately, our municipality has remained organizationally at the level of the eighties. The time of digitalization has come a long way, but in Budva digitalization is a real unknown,” said Konić, stressing that it is necessary to “root out idleness, lack of effort and disrespect of citizens.”

He underlined that “the municipality should be a service for citizens, not a breeding ground for idleness and corruption”.

Councilor candidate Milica Ratknić called on citizens to take responsibility for the future of Budva, especially keeping in mind the generations to come.

“‘Different’ – to restore the shine of the queen of the Mediterranean. Our election program will bring good to everyone in Budva,” Ratknić pointed out, adding that voters can show responsibility by “rounding up the list led by Blažo Radjenović” on Sunday.

Dr. Slavica Todorović, a candidate for councilor, symbolically emphasized the importance of collective action.

“Let each of us do what we can, let’s all take a drop and put out the fire together! When the glass is over, it’s time to say ‘enough’ to divisions, ugly words and the decay of the city”, said Todorović, adding that “every vote for number 6 and URU represents honor and honesty”.

Candidate for councilor Berislav Fabris said that the citizens of Budva go to the polls with a big stake.

“It’s time for Budva to regain its glory, in every sense – infrastructural, communal, institutional and political. Unfortunately, today Budva has been humiliated to such an extent that honest and hard-working people feel like foreigners, while various political opportunists have made themselves at home. It is time to return the city to its citizens, to those who truly love and respect it. Our program is not just a story – it is achievable and sustainable, aimed at economic and social growth”, said Fabris and stated that Blažo Rađenović is a man of integrity and dedication, always on the side of the citizens of Budva and Montenegro.

“His expertise and moral strength are the reason why I believe he is the best choice to lead our municipality towards recovery and progress. I invite all citizens of Budva to go to the polls on Sunday and support the list ‘URA – Blažo Rađenović – Drugačie’. Only together can we build a stable, prosperous and, above all, different Budva,” he concluded.
