The price of corn FALLS, wheat is growing slightly! | Product exchange

The week behind us on the Product Exchange was very calm, with reduced activity of market participants. The price of corn is lower, while the price of wheat recorded an increase compared to the previous week. A total of 1,320 tons of goods were traded (- 71.75%), with a total financial value of RSD 32,399,630.00. The primary place in trading was occupied by wheat, accounting for 63% of the total weekly turnover.

The price of corn is lower

Exchange contracts for corn were concluded in the price range from 18.50 to 19.40 dinars/kg without VAT, with a clear downward price trend as the week drew to a close. The weighted price was 18.95 din/kg without VAT, showing a price drop of 2.37% compared to the previous week.

When it comes to the structure of customers in concluded contracts, it was made up of regional exporters and traders, while the share of domestic processors and exporters to ports was absent.

A slight increase in the price of wheat

In the wheat market, in addition to bread grain with 11.5-12% protein, buyers were also interested in wheat with better quality parameters (13-14% protein), but also in wheat for animal feed. A significant percentage of higher quality wheat in the total weekly turnover influenced the price of this field crop, statistically, to record growth compared to last week’s weighted price of 0.34%.

Exchange contracts for wheat were concluded in the price range from 21.80 to 23.50 dinars/kg without VAT. The weighted price was 22.74 din/kg without VAT. Contracts for fodder wheat were concluded at a single price level of 21.00 dinars/kg excluding VAT.

The rest

The passivity in the soybean market was also present during the past week. The weak supply failed to move the price in a positive direction. The bid-ask spread was present throughout the week, which resulted in the absence of stock contracts.

The exchange contract for fodder barley was concluded on the first working day at a price of 21.50 din/kg without VAT. Further offers of this cereal during the week did not meet demand.

When it comes to mineral fertilizers, the exchange contract for AN, Russian 25/1 at a price of 33.81 din/kg (288 eur/t) without VAT, while AN, Russian in jumbo bags was traded at a price of 33, 34 din/kg (284 eur/t) without VAT.
