The price of corn increased slightly

As in the previous week, the corn market was once again the most dynamic. During this week, corn occupied a dominant position in trading, accounting for as much as 80% of the total turnover. The offer consisted mainly of corn without analysis for aflatoxin, while the demand included both corn with and without analysis.

Exporters’ interest in corn remained strong this week as well. Exchange contracts were concluded in the price range from 18.70 to 19.50 dinars/kg excluding VAT, depending on the aflatoxin analysis and parity.

The weighted price was 19.21 din/kg without VAT (21.13 din/kg with VAT). A slight increase in the price was also noticeable this week, and compared to the previous week, it was increased by 0.20%. No wheat trade this week

The week on the wheat market started with an increased supply compared to the previous week, while buyers were restrained and did not make a statement regarding the price. During the rest of the week, the price spread of supply and demand was noticeable, as well as the difference in the parities of offered and requested goods, which made it even more difficult to conclude stock market contracts.

This situation on the wheat market led to the absence of this crop from trading.

Soybean market more dynamic

The soybean market recorded an increase in activity compared to seven days earlier, when this oilseed was absent from trading. The supply was slightly higher than the demand, and imported soybeans were also offered at the CPT buyer parity. Exchange contracts were concluded in the price range from 58.50 to 59.50 dinars/kg without VAT, with the calculation of quality.

The weighted price was 58.88 din/kg without VAT (64.77 din/kg with VAT), and it was slightly higher (0.08%) compared to the last comparative data. Soybeans accounted for 12% of this week’s turnover.
