The last working week of this year was marked by reduced activity of participants on the commodity and stock market. The price of corn and the price of soybeans continued to rise, while wheat recorded a decrease in value. Corn stood out as the most traded commodity at the end of the year. Total turnover was 1,547.00 tons of goods, financial value 45,582,320.00 dinars.
The price of corn is rising
During the last week of the year, the corn market was calm, without significant changes and greater involvement of participants. Maize with aflatoxin analysis was traded in the price interval from 19.80 to 20.20 dinars/kg without VAT, depending on the parity.
Last week’s upward price trend continued this week, with an increase of 1.64%. The weighted price reached 20.02 din/kg without VAT (22.02 din/kg with VAT). For comparison, in the same period of the previous year, the weighted price of corn was 17.92 dinars/kg without VAT, which is 11.72% lower than this year’s price.
Corn dominated trading over the past five days, accounting for as much as 68% of the total weekly turnover.
The price of wheat is falling
The wheat market was also calm, and buyers were most interested in wheat with 12% protein, as well as in feed wheat. Exchange contracts were concluded at a price of 22.50 to 23.50 dinars/kg without VAT, depending on the parameters of quality and parity.
The weighted price was 23.00 din/kg without VAT (25.30 din/kg with VAT), and compared to seven days earlier, a price drop of 0.95% was recorded. Wheat accounted for 13% of the total weekly turnover.
The price of soybeans is increasing
In contrast to the previous week, when soybeans were not traded, this week one sales contract was concluded at a price of 54.50 din/kg without VAT (59.95 din/kg with VAT) with quality calculation, and it was also a price weight. Compared to the last comparative data, the price recorded a growth of 1.49%.
Other goods
During this week, activity was also recorded on the rapeseed market. The exchange contract for this crop was concluded at a price of 56.92 din/kg without VAT (€485/t without VAT).
When it comes to fertilizers, market participants showed the most interest in UREU, granulated, at a price of 45.76 to 46.35 din/kg without VAT (390 to 395 €/t without VAT) depending on packaging. One contract was also concluded for UREU, by-catch, at parity CPT buyer at a price of 44.77 din/kg without VAT (380 €/t without VAT).
