During the past week, STIPS reporters recorded the prices of fruits and vegetables throughout Serbia. Due to the rich supply, the following week was primarily marked by a drop in the price of grapes.
Growth of vegetable prices on Kvantaš in Leskovac
According to the report of the STIPS reporter from Leskovac, last week there was an increase in the prices of green beans, gherkins and lettuce, garlic, paprika, tomatoes, sweet potatoes and leeks. As far as fruits are concerned, there were no price changes.
Regarding the offer, last week’s trend was also maintained.
A better offer of apples at Kvantaš in Belgrade
A better supply of apples and grapes was recorded at the Kvanta market in Belgrade. Unlike them, the volume of peach and nectarine supply was reduced, while raspberry and blueberry sales were sporadic.
Compared to the previous period, grapefruit and oranges were more expensive, while raspberries were cheaper. It was usual to offer vegetable crops at sales points.
Price growth was recorded for Swiss chard, gherkins, garlic, spring onions, other peppers, cherry tomatoes, eggplants, parsley leaves and leeks. The price drop was recorded only for watermelon.
The offer in Kikinda is average
The offer of fruit at the green market in Kikinda was average. In terms of prices, there was a drop in white and black grape varieties, salad cucumber and gherkin cucumber.
In contrast to them, compared to the previous period, other apples, hazelnuts, walnuts, green beans, melons, hot peppers, other peppers, tomatoes, white beans and yellow beans were more expensive.
Grapes cheaper in Pirot as well
Grapes were also cheaper at the green market in Pirot, primarily because of the better offer. The price drop was also recorded for oranges, hot peppers and eggplants.
Compared to the first week of September, tomatoes, white beans and colored beans were more expensive.
A good offer of fruits and vegetables in Užice
Užice green market was well supplied with fruits and vegetables last week. A drop in prices was recorded for white grapes, lemons, hazelnuts, potatoes, garlic, onions, and carrots.
More expensive were banana, cucumber salad, watermelon, tomato and colorful beans.
