In the second week of July, a significant drop in the purchase prices of cows and piglets was recorded in the Podrinje region. Slaughterhouses bought cows for slaughter at the lowest price of 225 dinars/kg, while piglets weighing 16 to 25 kilograms reached a price of 350 dinars/kg at the livestock market in Vranje.
In the slaughterhouses in the area of the South Bačka region, the purchase of fattened cattle with a body weight of over 480 kilograms was recorded, at a dominant price of 350 dinars/kg.
At the cattle market in Čačak, there was no offer of calves and other categories of cattle last week. Last week, slaughterhouses from the Moravian region bought male calves, SM breed, at a dominant price of 725 din/kg, while female calves of the same category and breed of cattle were paid 700 din/kg.
The purchase prices of other categories of cattle were at last week’s level. The dominant purchase price of calves, SM breed, body weight up to 160 kilograms, was 650 dinars/kg in slaughterhouses in the area of Pirot and surrounding towns. In addition to calves, slaughterers also bought fattened cattle weighing over 480 kilograms at a price of 380 din/kg and cows for slaughter for 280 din/kg.
Growth in the price of piglets on the livestock market in Kraljevo
Piglets with a body weight of 16 to 25 kilograms were more expensive compared to the previous period at the livestock market in Kraljevo, because the amount of 330 din/kg dominated.
At the livestock market in Loznica, a drop in the selling price of piglets with a body weight of 16 to 25 kilograms was recorded, as the amount of 350 dinars/kg dominated. Supply and sales were average.

Sows for slaughter could also be bought at a price of 250 dinars/kg.
The price of lambs in Smederevo reached a record amount
At the livestock market in Smederevo, the price of lambs increased, as the sale was mostly for 480 dinars/kg.
Buyers most often had to shell out 430 din/kg. In addition to lambs, kids could also be sold, at a dominant price of 520 din/kg, sheep and rams for breeding, for which the same amount of money had to be allocated as the previous week.
Purchase prices of lambs and sheep did not change in slaughterhouses in the Raš region.
The selling price of lambs at the livestock market in Loznica was lower, since the week after us was dominated by the amount of 420 din/kg with the average supply and demand of heads of this category of sheep. In slaughterhouses in the Podrinje region, a drop in the purchase price of lambs was recorded.
In contrast to them, the purchase price of sheep was higher, since the amount of 220 din/kg dominated.
