The price of the Google Pixel Watch 2 has dropped sharply since the arrival of the new model

Even though it now has a successor, the Pixel Watch 2 is a fun smartwatch to use on a daily basis, whether for application or sports uses. The good news is that it costs almost 40% less on Amazon today.

The Pixel Watch 3 has been launched, and yet the previous model remains interesting. This watch, more convincing than the first model, is fluid, autonomous, and with really precise sensors. It is still recommendable, especially that it is currently losing more than 140 euros from its initial price.

Why choose the Google Pixel Watch 2?

  • For its neat design, with its very beautiful Oled screen
  • For its highly accurate heart rate sensor
  • For Wear OS and its many applications

Launched at 399 euros, the Google Pixel Watch 2 (Bluetooth/Wi-Fi) is available today on sale for 256.39 euros on the Amazon website.

More in-depth monitoring of sport and health

After a first generation that served as a draft, the Pixel Watch 2 corrects several flaws. Starting with the autonomy, the watch can now work 24 hours, but with the always-on activated, and the transition from 0 to 50% battery is done in about 30 minutes.

Google has made improvements in the health and sports section, and scores points, especially with its complete electrocardiogram. The result is simply impressive and the watch can track heart rate accurately. There is also an SPO2 sensor and a skin temperature sensor. The watch can also track stress levels, but unfortunately it cannot track menstrual cycles.

As for sports, we have the right to generally reliable GPS tracking, but it would be more efficient.

A small pebble design that is always so cute

Cute, solid and efficient, the Pixel Watch 2 remains on a small, rounded dial of 41 mm, and keeps the large borders around the screen… The latter has not changed either and we also find here an Oled always-on panel with a definition of 450 × 450 pixels covered with a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 3D which effectively protects against scratches. Its brightness goes up to 1000 cd/m², which is a good score.

Finally, at the heart of this connected watch, we obviously find WearOS, a complete and practical interface to use. It is also possible to enjoy a very large number of applications on the Play Store (sport, entertainment, control of connected objects, etc.). It is also coupled with the Fitbit ecosystem, which gives a very versatile result. This centralizes all health data and allows you to track your sports progress on a daily basis.
