The price of the iPhone SE 4 and the final name of the device – – may have been leaked

If everything is true, it will be a much more advanced, but only slightly more expensive, successor to the well-priced iPhone of 2022, which Apple is apparently even renaming.

Apple has not even officially confirmed its existence, but thanks to insiders enthusiastically leaking in recent months, we already know quite a bit about the device expected to debut in March. Based on these, the size of the iPhone SE 4 display increases from 4.7 to 6.1 inches, the LDC panel is replaced by OLED. Equipped with Face ID support, the mobile phone has a more characterful edge and is placed in a flatter housing that copies the design of the iPhone 14, but we only get one rear camera. It will probably be 48MP (the iPhone SE 3 had 12MP), and the selfie camera will be 12MP (also a significant jump from its predecessor’s 7MP imager).

The Lightning 4 connector is a thing of the past, the iPhone SE 4 comes with a USB-C charging port to meet the EU standard. Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman expects that Apple’s next-generation affordable mobile will support artificial intelligence functions collectively known as Apple Intelligence, which assumes that it will have at least 8GB of RAM and an A18 chip. It is also rumored that Apple’s first self-developed 5G modem, Centauri, will debut in this device. Back in 2019, the company bought Intel’s modem business to reduce its dependence on Qualcomm.

Such significant technological advances would predict a serious price increase, but according to a recent leak, customers have nothing to fear, the iPhone SE 4 will be more expensive than its predecessor, but not by much. The 2022 model debuted with a price tag of $429, the manufacturer will ask for $70 more for the 2025, so $499. But considering that the base iPhone 16 costs $799, and the iPhone 14, which the iPhone SE 4 surpasses in many ways, is still selling for $599, this might be Apple’s best value for money.

It also seems that it will be released in two colors (black and white), but not under the name iPhone SE 4 or iPhone SE (2025), but under the iPhone 16 series as the iPhone 16E.
