The price of vegetables fell, apples went up in price!

STIPS reporters recorded the prices of fruits and vegetables on markets in Serbia in the past week. The weaker supply of tomatoes and peppers caused the price to rise. The weaker supply of grapes is noticeable, while the prices of many types of vegetables are lower compared to the previous period.

Prices of fruits and vegetables in Kvantaš

The offer of grapes on the Quanta market in Belgrade is noticeably weaker, which was also reflected in the price increase compared to the previous week. The sale of strawberries was also recorded, for which 1,500 din/kg should have been allocated. Apples and pears have gone up in price.

Unlike them, the prices of pineapple, grapefruit, Ajdared apple and kiwi were lower. The offer of peppers from the open air was weaker, but that’s why the offer of this vegetable culture from closed spaces was better.

The offer of tomatoes was also weaker at the sales points of quanta, which was reflected in the price of both peppers and tomatoes. Radishes, zucchini, spring onions were even more expensive.

In contrast to them, the prices of Swiss chard, green beans, potatoes, garlic, green beans, eggplant, carrots, lettuce and greens were lower.

Skadarlija market

On the Skadarlija green market in Belgrade, there was no nectarine offer last week. Peaches, plums and raspberries were only on one stall. Price growth was recorded for bananas, peaches, quinces, most varieties of grapes and pomegranates.

Only the price of kiwi was lower compared to last week. The sunny and warm weather had an effect on the good supply of vegetables, some from open space, some from greenhouse production. They are more expensive compared to
the previous period was gherkins, garlic, paprika, zucchini and greens.

In contrast to them, the prices of young onions, onions, green tomatoes, parsley leaves and radishes were lower.

Prices on the market in Čačak

Last week, on the green market in Čačak, you could buy raspberries for 700 din/kg and blackberries for 500 din/kg. The supply of grapes was weaker, and the price varied from 100 to 120 din/kg. Offer
vegetables were still good at the market stalls.

The offer of potatoes and carrots dominated, the price of which varied from 100 to 120 din/kg. Buyers had to pay 200 to 250 din/kg for tomatoes, and 180 to 350 din/kg for peppers, depending on whether they were from open or closed areas.

Cabbage still holds a high price, as the amount varied from 80 to 100 din/kg. They are still the most expensive mushrooms, as the price ranged from 320 to 350 din/kg.

Prices of fruits and vegetables in Kikinda

At the green market in Kikinda, there was a standard offer of fruit for this period of the year. A decline in the prices of bananas, Afus ali white grapes, other pears, lemons and walnuts was recorded. As far as vegetables are concerned, the offer of potatoes, carrots, and onions dominated.

Peppers, cucumbers, gherkins, zucchini, eggplant, spinach can still be bought, and the prices mostly kept last week’s level.
