The Project Bureau of the City of Belgrade was established for better control over projects

At the session of the Assembly of the City of Belgrade, the Decision was made on the establishment of the Public Enterprise “Project Office of the City of Belgrade”, with the desire to improve quality control and the speed of implementation of projects in the capital city.

City planner Marko Stojčić explained that this bureau will do a team of ten experts from the City Administrationwho already have significant experience in the field of construction of public buildings and landscaping of public areas, Beoinfo reported.

Darko Šutanovac, graduate in architectural engineering, currently deputy director of the Office of the Chief Urban Planner, was appointed acting director. His task will be to assemble a team of people from public companies and secretariats who have a license from the Serbian Chamber of Engineers and who can create a project and obtain a permit for it, explained Stojčić.

It is expected that this move will allow Belgrade more control over the quality of projects and the quality of work execution.

In addition to this, detailed regulation plans for parts of the municipalities of Novi Beograd, Voždovac and Zemun were also adopted at the same session, as well as other decisions important for the functioning of the city.
