The Prosecution requested custody for the former director of the FBiH Highway

ZENICA – The Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office in the Zenica-Doboj Canton requested the Court to order detention measures for the former director of the FBiH Highway Elmedin Voloder and two others, out of a total of five arrested in yesterday’s operation “Landfill”.

“The prosecutor submitted a proposal for the determination of a detention measure because there are special circumstances that indicate a risk of escape and because there are special circumstances that indicate that he will interfere with the criminal proceedings by influencing the witnesses”it is stated in the statement of the ZDK Prosecutor’s Office.

Judging by the initials mentioned above, detention was also requested for Marijan Nikolić and Boris Zekić.

“For the other two persons, the initials RK and MM, the prosecutor submitted a proposal to the Cantonal Court in Zenica for the imposition of prohibition measures, namely: prohibition of meeting with certain persons and prohibition of leaving residence”, the Prosecutor’s Office added.

The Cantonal Court in Zenica will decide on the measures.

This group is suspected of conspiring to commit criminal acts, abuse of position or authority, disclosure and unauthorized acquisition of trade secrets, money laundering, the Federal Police Administration announced.

Yesterday, the lawyer of the first suspect, Volodera Nermin Vila, announced that it was about the expropriation of land at the site of the landfill in Žepč. Vila underlined that Voloder said that he is not guilty of what he is accused of.

In addition to this investigation, which is being handled by the ZDK Prosecutor’s Office, the investigation against Voloder is also being conducted in the HNK, which “Fokus” wrote about earlier. In that case, the investigative actions are coming to an end, and the current director of the FBiH Highway and the former federal minister Denis Lasić were heard.

We asked Autoceste for a comment on yesterday’s arrest, according to which one of the employees of this public company was also unofficially deprived of liberty, but there is no answer, at least for now.
