Recently, Gurman reported that Apple is working on its own system responsible for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.
This module is to be included in the next generation of Apple TV and the HomePod speaker. Gurman says Apple is not working on re-introducing the AirPort device, but due to the advanced level of its chip, it could turn the above-mentioned accessory into a wireless access point.
This means that, for example, Apple TV could be a home router. However, it is not known whether Apple will finally decide to activate this mode in its devices.
