The regional IT ecosystem unites – technocrats

ME.ET. CEE is a full-day free networking event and unconference organized by more than 15 partners. The location is Puzl CowOrKing, a flexible office space and community-driven hub tailored to the needs of the IT sector. Among the organizers are Startup Hungary, Credo Ventures, Launchub, Óbuda University, Interactive Venture and Viber. Their goal is to connect IT and startup players a in the Central Eastern European region.

According to Puzl CowOrKing’s experience, community-driven coworking offices are catalysts for local business communities. Companies can work together on complex problems, find cross-selling opportunities, and introduce each other to their networks of investors, partners, and service providers—all of which are invaluable to the growth of IT businesses.

The Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) sector is a key area in today’s economy in Hungary. More than 4% of active employees work in the field of the digital economy, which accounts for 5% of domestic GDP.

IT relationship building in the CEE region

The mission of Puzl CowOrKing, the IT Hub coming to Budapest, is to connect IT actors in the Central-Eastern European region, supporting local meetups and knowledge-sharing events for the development of the IT ecosystem.

On November 8, the biggest IT networking event of the year will direct international attention to Budapest. Puzl CowOrKing and 15+ other co-organizers welcome domestic IT players, enterprises, startups and companies with an open and free all-day event, where the entire day is dedicated to building relationships and professional education.

“The opening in Budapest is an important milestone in the life of Puzl CowOrKing. Our important mission is to connect the IT sector regionally, which is why we are organizing this all-day event with our partners, where the IT community in Budapest can also meet the most important players in the ecosystem from other countries in the region.”

says Thibaut Taittinger, director of Puzl CowOrKing.

“Since the organizers all invite their own audience to ME.ET CEE, guests can connect with people they normally wouldn’t”

he adds.

The integration of the CEE region’s startup scene plays a critical role in the region’s economic development, accelerating innovation, attracting investment capital and increasing international competitiveness.

The schedule is shaped by the participant

ME.ET CEE is a real unconference, where they try to avoid the hierarchical aspects of traditional conferences, such as sponsored lectures or top-down organization. The focus will be on real relationship building. “It’s a human-scale event that focuses on actionable knowledge and where the participant can decide what they want to do,” says Puzl’s CowOrKing director.

The free, all-day unconference will be an excellent opportunity for domestic professionals to build connections at the regional level, find new opportunities and gain inspiration.

Community-driven office tailored to the IT sector

“It is especially characteristic of the IT sector that, in addition to office services, factors that are more difficult to quantify are increasingly valued when choosing an office space: the supportive community, inclusion, the real sustainability of the work areas and the atmosphere, the like-minded community, learning and entertainment opportunities . All this is added to the brick and concrete infrastructure”

says Puzl CowOrKing’s managing director.

Puzl CowOrKing, opening in Budapest’s Goldberger Textile Factory, with more than 800 seats, will create a real home for the local IT and startup ecosystem from November and provide them with enough space to grow – be it tech startups or IT companies with hundreds of employees. It provides a real opportunity for different IT professionals, startups, developers and businesses to collaborate. Puzl CowOrKing offers not only workstations, but also an IT Hub specialized in the IT sector.
