The CURS Exit-Poll results, valid for 21:00, the time the polls close, still give Marcel Ciolacu first place, with 24.6% of the votes, followed by Elena Lasconi with 18.2% and Călin Georgescu, 16.5%.
According to the preliminary data revealed by the CURS Exit-Poll, the ranking of the candidates for the presidential elections in the first round is as follows:
- Marcel Ciolacu – 24.6%
- Elena Lasconi – 18.2%
- Călin Georgescu – 16.5%
- George Simion – 14%
- Nicolae Ciucă – 13%
Voter turnout by 21:00 was 52.51%, meaning 9.4 million voters cast their ballots. Most of the votes come from the urban environment.
The votes from the Diaspora remain to be counted, which can change the fate of the first round of voting, in the context where the presence at the polls outside the country is quite high, and the voting process has not yet been completed.
