One ring rules them all, so that’s no longer the case. Finnish company Oura Health Oy certainly deserves credit for building a market with smart rings. Over the years, however, it has outgrown its capable competition and is currently joined by a real heavyweight in the form of Samsung and its Galaxy Ring. However, Oura does not seem to be playing catch-up. His new Oura Ring 4 is currently undergoing certification. He wrote o tom server Android Authority.
The design of Oura Ring 4 will not change
Current third generation Oura Ring 3 it was launched on the market already in October 2021. Although Oura has not yet made any announcements about its successor, the four has been long awaited. Android Authority has spotted certification listings for the upcoming Oury with model number OA11, which include images of a size 10 smart ring.
We can notice on them that the Oura remains the same as version 3 with a flat design. No raised bumps are visible in the images. On the other hand Samsung used in his Galaxy Ring concave profile. This means that it is bulging outwards.

Detailed specifications are still missing
We can’t read much about the technical parameters of the new ring in the certification statement, but some interesting information is already available. For example, from the attached draft of the product label, we learn that the OA11 is indeed the upcoming Oura Ring 4. The label also includes the model number OA12, but we couldn’t find more information about that.
As sample color and size examples, this is the Oura Ring 4 in gold in a size 15. The Oura Ring 3 is available in a smooth Horizon version and a Heritage version with a plateau design that features a flat surface on the top the ring. So there is a possibility that OA11 could be Ring Horizon, while OA12 could be Ring 4 Heritage.
Multiple ring sizes are being tested
The certification documents further state that the OA11 is being tested in sizes 7, 9, 13 and 15. So it is possible that the Oura Ring 4 will be available in sizes 7-15 at least, while the Oura Ring 3 is available in sizes 6-13. We will have to wait for more detailed information. However, there is ample evidence that Oura Ring 4 is indeed coming.
