One of Sweden’s most described robberies took place on September 23, 2009 and will be popularly known as the “Helicopter Robbery”.
In the morning, a Bell 206 Jet Ranger helicopter was stolen from Roslagen’s helicopter flight in Norrtälje. The journey then went to the roof of G4S’s safe deposit box in Västberga in Stockholm. There, the three robbers smashed a window and managed to get into the depot.
The goal was to get cash, and the robbers managed to get a staggering SEK 39.1 million. But already that autumn they could be arrested.
Now the famous robbery has been filmed by Netflix and the scriptwriter Ronnie Sandahl has found out details from the robbers – which are even unknown to the police, he tells Expressen.

The robbers revealed details of the robbery
In order to create the mini-series, a solid research work was required, where Sandahl, among other things, interviewed the convicted robbers about how they thought, planned and carried out the robbery.
But Ronnie found out more than he bargained for, even more than the police knew.
– Several of them have been very generous and allowed themselves to be interviewed, and perhaps with the support of the fact that it has been a while, have been able to share a lot of background information that has previously been a mystery to the police. I realized quite quickly that I couldn’t interview the police about it, because they didn’t know anything about certain things, says Ronnie Sandahl to Expressen.
However, Sandahl points out that the series is a fiction and not a documentary, which means that everything is not one hundred percent true.
– It became a strange dynamic in that there is so much information that is unknown from before, but which is embedded in the series. But then nobody knows what is made up by me and what is true, he says The Express.
But some things remain secret, like what happened with the loot.
