Jon Tiriak is a famous tennis name. Admittedly, he became more famous for his coaching and managerial work than for his playing successes, because at some point he took care of the careers of top tennis players such as Boris Beker or Goran Ivanišević.
The Romanian is also a shrewd businessman with enormous wealth and a garage with as many as 400 valuable cars. As he states HAK magazine, among the cars was a Ferrari F40, a legendary model of the Italian brand. The car cost him as much as $700,000. Tiriak explains that in that part of his life he was dedicated to training other tennis players and that his days were filled with obligations. So, at one point, in the eighties of the last century, he left the Ferrari F40 in a parking lot in Munich.
– Ten years later, in the 90s, Mr. Beker called me and told me that my F40 was still parked there.
– I forgot my Ferrari for a whole decade – admits Tiriak.
The first thing he did after realizing that he had a car that he had forgotten about was to sell it. At that time, he still had nowhere to keep it, and it was also necessary to send the car back to Maranello to disassemble the engine and return it to driving condition.
