The International Automobile Association and its president want to implement one of the most controversial regulations in recent years in F1: they want to suppress swearing. The idea is approx. no one involved likes it, and Max Verstappen expressed it so vehemently that he was punished for it.

The absurdity of the situation is clearly shown by the fact that even the newest member of the field, Franco Colapinto, made a joke out of it. The Argentinian driver of Williams responded to a video on F1’s official Instagram page, which was only about the fact that he got into a mini-battle with Verstappen during the second free practice session. In the inside video, Verstappen can be heard laughing at the situation.

Referring to this, Colapinto wrote that “punishment laughs”indicating that pilots are slowly having to be painfully careful about what they say and how they say it.
