The OMP company presented a hybrid version of the Aurora OS. With its help, a monitor, mouse and keyboard are connected to the mobile device. The new product will be available next year.
Deputy Chairman of the Board of Rostelecom PJSC Darius Khalitov said that there are no plans to separately develop a desktop version of the Aurora OS. The company focused on the development project of a multi-purpose platform.
Rostelecom is investing 500 million rubles in the project and plans to transfer more than 100 thousand of its employees to work with a hybrid operating system by 2028.
For 2024, we had the task of finalizing and bringing to market a new version of the Aurora 5 mobile platform, including the transition to Aurora 5.1 OS for all devices in the model range and ecosystem applications. The foundation has also been laid for the creation of Russian mobile services both for our Aurora OS and for any other OS. All these tasks were completed.

Last year, Roskomnadzor estimated the improvement of the Aurora OS at 300 billion rubles. Now smartphones and tablets on this operating system are produced by manufacturers Fplus, Yadro, and Bayterg. (Kommersant)
