the Russians must have watched how we reacted to the border violation

Last weekend, two Russian Shahed drones entered the borders of NATO countries. The aircraft crashed in Latvia and flew over a hundred kilometers from Romania. Both incidents reflected the fact that there is no agreed response to such situations.

“The drone flew a total of 90 kilometers to Latvia. On the example of Estonia, he would fly over Elva or almost under Rakvere. And then they only started to act,” explained Leet Rauno Lember, business manager of the Marduk defense industry company dealing with drone detection technology, in the “Äripää opinion leader” program.

Although the example of Latvia and Romania tried to explain that the reason why the Shaheds ended up in NATO airspace was more of an accident or a chance caused by interfering with the GPS signal, according to Lember, it doesn’t matter in the end.

“The Russians are definitely watching how we react. It’s all hybrid warfare.”

According to him, everything is monitored: “If we react, what do we do. How quickly we respond and with what. Do we have any technology that hasn’t been shown yet.”

In the show, Lember explained what to do, how the allies should deliver and how much it all costs.
