The Ryujinx emulator was also arranged by Nintendo

The software disappeared from GitHub after the lead developer received an offer from the Japanese.

Back in the spring of this year, we wrote about Nintendo’s strange attack on the Yuzu emulator, and it turned out to be successful, as the developer of the software in question, Tropic Haze LLC, quickly surrendered to the Japanese company. At the end of the last news, we already asked the question what will be the fate of the other Switch emulator called Ryujinx, and we have now received the answer.

The open source Ryujinx has disappeared from GitHub. It has been confirmed on the official Discord channel that the developer known as gdkchan has reportedly received an offer from Nintendo, but the details are unknown. As a precedent, however, it can be mentioned that Retro Game Corps, popular in the Nintendo emulation community, wrote on X that its YouTube channel had received several copyright warnings, forcing it to stop presenting game emulations.

Nintendo probably sought an agreement, so they could offer a kind of deal to Ryujinx’s lead developer, after all, the Japanese company is not really interested in a protracted court case if they can absolve the removal of the emulators in a faster way.
