Alin Oprea, the founder of the band Talisman, accepted Adrian Artene’s invitation to open his soul in a new podcast episode “Altceva”. During the discussion, the artist touched on one of the most important themes in his current life, a theme which, on the other hand, caused him the greatest suffering.
Alin Oprea spoke about the divorce from his first wife, Larisa, and about the abandonment of the two children he has, an abandonment that hurts him, but which, somehow, he understands. The artist revealed that the two children are no longer present in his life, choosing to stay with their mother and cut ties with him.
The lead singer of the band “Talisman” does not consider his ex-wife to blame for the breakup between him and the children because they were adults at the time of the divorce, so they could make their own decisions.
“I have forgiven her 100%. I can forgive her for anything, and the children, at the time of the divorce, were adults. I don’t think a mother can force grown children to do anything. They did it because they felt they had to protect their mother. Which is a nice thing in a way. Because between two people, a man and a woman, I think that if you can’t be equidistant, it’s nice to protect your mother, not your father. Ideally they would have been equidistant. It was not possible, for reasons that don’t even matter. But they defended their mother. Something that is very important. Their mother also defends her young. I’m glad that at least they stayed together. It’s very important. That a divorce like this could tear them apart in all directions. And then, the least losing option was this. Let me be taken out of the scheme and let them continue with all the assets. With all the goods and all the money they stayed because I gave them as a gift, not because they took it from me. The fact that they took them was just such a blunder,” the artist declared exclusively on “Altceva cu Adrian Artene”.
