The Samsung Galaxy S25 will start with the base version of 12GB of RAM

Time flies like a river and at a fast pace we have reached the point where we are only about two months away from the moment of the presentation of the new series of phones Samsung Galaxy S25. Although there is currently a bit of confusion as to whether the new models will “land” in early or late January, the only thing that is certain is that we are getting closer and closer to the official reveal and we are constantly learning new details. Now a performance test has revealed the fact that the base model will have 12GB RAM. That’s a nice step up from the 8GB of the original and basic S24, although that also had a superior 12GB version at an extra cost.

Here’s hoping the S25 ditches the 8GB tier altogether, but we can never be 100% sure until the actual announcementso keep that in mind.

The Galaxy S25 models will either come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset or not, and that, apart from the exact release date, is the other big mystery surrounding Samsung’s next flagships. We’ve been hearing both versions for quite some time, so it’s all still up in the air for now.

As regards the given new situation, we see that the new benchmark includes a prototype that used Qualcomm’s chipsetbut note that this model is the one headed to the Korean market. Apparently it was also running Android 15.

In terms of design, the Galaxy S25 is expected to remain fairly similar to its predecessor based on the leaked renders that you can see above.
