Even according to the most conservative estimate, the damage to the embezzlement case at the Békéscsaba Education Center could amount to several million forints – Magyar Narancs writes.
As we previously reported, the teachers of several schools belonging to the school district did not receive part of their remuneration, and the police have already launched an investigation because of this. During the procedure, several teachers were interviewed, and the legal relationship of the person concerned was immediately terminated.

“Two or three months ago, an employee of the Békéscsaba Police Department called me, and he informed me that I was also on the list of those who were constantly harmed by an employee of the school district in recent years,” one of the persons, who asked to remain anonymous, told the newspaper. who was harmed. It was also revealed that the series of crimes goes back to 2020-2021. Another teacher spoke about how during the investigation it became clear to him that the money of at least 15-20 people could have disappeared, but the mystery is on what basis the employee of the school district center decided who to steal. What is certain is that the sums involved are between HUF 200,000 and HUF 1,000,000. By the way, it was not the school district headquarters, but the police that informed the affected people that they lost part of their salary due to embezzlement.
On the other hand, all of their reports agreed that after last week’s Magyar Narancs article, the missing money was transferred to them in one sum, without any explanation or apology. Otherwise, the organization will recover this amount from the alleged perpetrator through litigation, at the end of the criminal proceedings. A review of the financial transfers at the school district center revealed that many of the transferred amounts ended up in the same place: the private bank account of the suspected administrator.
According to a teacher who was harmed in the case, the behavior of the administrator working in the school district center raised suspicion, which led to the ordering of an internal investigation. The evidence uncovered during the procedure supported the doubts raised against the administrator.
