General Secretary of the Russian Boxing Federation Tatyana Kiriyenko shared her impressions of the fight between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol.
“Our boxers showed the highest quality boxing, proving that they are the best in their field. Fantastic performance. The fight between Beterbiev and Bivol should qualify for the title of the best in 2024,” the FBI website quotes Kiriyenko.
She also added that Arthur and Dmitry are the pride of Russian boxing and role models.
The day before, Beterbiev defeated Bivol by decision and became the absolute world light heavyweight champion.
Two of the judges took Arthur’s side. One with a score of 115:113, and the second – 116:112. And only the third counted a draw. The fight between the athletes took place in Saudi Arabia.
Earlier, Artem Dzyuba called commenting on the fight between Beterbiev and Bivol a disgrace.
