News about the upcoming affordable Apple iPhone SE 4 has been popping up more and more in recent weeks. The Californian brand is said to be planning to introduce the smartphone in the spring of next year. Currently a reliable source on social network X, Sonny Dickson, published a photo of the case for that phone. The photo then reveals more to us than it might seem at first glance.
iPhone SE 4 with a single camera
According to the leaked case for the iPhone SE 4, it looks like Apple will really be betting on only one rear camera. But it should be a 48 Mpx sensor, which is found in the iPhone 15 model. Thanks to this, Apple has a relatively large space to work with the chip. The high resolution, for example, enables the deployment of a fairly high-quality double zoom. However, it is a shame that Apple does not put an ultra-wide-angle lens in the phone.
The design itself will subsequently be based on the iPhone 14 model. However, it will not be an exact copy, the difference will be seen in the photo module, which will be smaller than its predecessor.

The end of the popular Touch ID
The current iPhone SE 3 model is the company’s last smartphone with a fingerprint reader. The upcoming iPhone SE 4 will not follow its predecessor and will switch to the currently used security through faces, or Face ID. Thanks to this, it is more or less clear that the display in the upcoming novelty will contain a so-called cut-out. The more modern Dynamic Island with its pill design is not expected by punters.
Modern buttons have no place
According to the cut-outs in the packaging, it is possible to determine which buttons the iPhone SE 4 will have. Naturally, there will be a volume rocker and a lock button. But there will also be a physical mode switch, which Apple completely got rid of in the iPhone 16 model line, where the manufacturer switched to a more modern action button.
The Camera Control button for controlling cameras and their modes will remain a privilege of this year’s generation. As for other equipment, we expect the deployment of a 6.1-inch OLED display, a USB-C connector and the Apple A18 chip. Thanks to it, the novelty should potentially be ready for the implementation of Apple Intelligence.
Price and availability
As already mentioned, the presentation of the iPhone SE 4 will probably take place in the spring of 2025. Of course, we do not know the price yet, but analysts say that Apple will price its new phone around the $500 mark (roughly CZK 11,500).
