Ostrava – The Iranian-Dutch singer Sevdaliza, whose Friday concert at the Colors of Ostrava festival was canceled by a global IT system outage, is on her way from Amsterdam to Ostrava. He will perform at the festival today from 11:30 p.m., on the second stage. The show’s spokesman, Jindřich Vaněk, told ČTK today. Sevdaliza, one of the most prominent personalities of contemporary experimental pop, was supposed to perform on the main stage on Friday at 20:00.
Adding her concert to today’s program required further changes, according to Vaňko. “The Mainline Magic Orchestra, originally scheduled to perform at the time of Sevdaliza’s newly announced concert, are moving to the FullMoon Stage,” he said.
The organizers still believed that the singer would arrive on Friday morning. But in the end, her plane did not take off. She was replaced on stage by the band Son Mieux from the Netherlands. Holders of one-day tickets for Friday purchased before 2:00 p.m. have their validity extended to Saturday for this reason.
A widespread outage of computer systems disrupted the operations of many industries around the world on Friday. Some airlines had to ground flights, media companies cut broadcasts, and other industries, from banking and telecommunications to healthcare, also had problems. The outage of the global check-in system also affected Prague Airport. According to the media and IT experts, Microsoft’s Windows service was affected by the outage, apparently caused by a failed software update from CrowdStrike.
