Higher purchase price of fattening heifers and fattening bulls

In slaughterhouses in the Nišava region, the purchase price of fattening bulls with a body weight of over 500 kilograms increased to a dominant 360 din/kg. The number of purchased head was average. At the livestock market in Niš, there were no sales of calves, fattening steers and other categories of cattle last week.

The purchase prices of fattening cattle with a body weight of 350 to 480 kilograms and fattening bulls of the SM breed with a body weight of over 500 kilograms were higher in slaughterhouses in the Pčinj region, so the price of fattening beef was 400 din/kg, and the amount of fattening bulls was 365 dinars/kg.

The purchase price of fattened beef over 480 kilograms was higher compared to the previous period in slaughterhouses in the southern Banat region. By far the dominant price was 330 din/kg.

An increase in the purchase price of cows for slaughter of the SM breed was recorded in slaughterhouses in the Moravian region, since the purchase most often took place at a price of 240 dinars/kg. In addition to them, SM breed calves with a body weight of up to 160 kilograms, fattening steers with a body weight of over 480 kilograms and fattening bulls weighing over 500 kilograms were bought, but the purchase prices kept last week’s level.

The sale price of cows for slaughter was lower in relation to the previous period at the live cattle market in Kraljevo, because the sale was usually for 250 din/kg. Slaughterhouses from the Šumadija region raised the purchase price of fattened beef over 480 kilograms to a dominant 370 dinars/kg.

The dominant price of calves of the SM breed weighing up to 160 kilograms was 550 dinars/kg at the livestock market in Požarevac. It was also possible to buy fattening cattle with a body weight of 350 to 480 kilograms, at a price of 500 din/kg, and slaughter cows of the SM breed at a dominant price of 220 din/kg.

The price of piglets is higher in Čačak and Novi Sad

According to the report of the STIPS reporter from Čačak, last week, the increase in the prices of both categories of piglets was recorded at the livestock market in this city. 40 din/kg should be set aside for cattle weighing up to 15 kilograms, and 380 din/kg for cattle weighing 16 to 25 kilograms.

In addition to them, fattening pigs with a body weight of over 120 kilograms could be marketed, at a prevailing price of 250 dinars/kg. In slaughterhouses in the South Bačka region, an increase in purchase prices of piglets weighing 16 to 25 kilograms and fattening pigs weighing 80 to 120 kilograms was recorded, as piglets were purchased at a dominant price of 340 din/kg, and fattening pigs at price of 200 din/kg.

The purchase price of fattening pigs with a body weight of 80 to 120 kilograms was higher compared to the previous period in slaughterhouses in the South Banat region as well. The amount of 190 din/kg dominated. The offer was good.

Butchers from the Šumadija region bought sows for slaughter at higher prices, so the amount of 200 dinars/kg dominated.

A drop in the purchase price of piglets weighing 16 to 25 kilograms was recorded last week in slaughterhouses in the Podrinje region, as the amount of 350 dinars/kg dominated.

Young goats gather in Kraljevo, the price of lambs drops in Loznica and Čačak

Last week, STIPS reporters from Kraljevo recorded an increase in the dominant price of kids to 500 din/kg and a drop in the price of sheep to a dominant 180 din/kg, at the livestock market in this city.

The most common sale of lambs took place at a price of 480 dinars/kg, at the livestock market in Loznica, which indicates a drop in price compared to the previous period. The volume of offer and sales was average. In contrast to the markets, in the slaughterhouses in the Podrinje region, there was an increase in the purchase price of lambs to 480 din/kg and of sheep to a dominant 200 din/kg.

Last week, lambs were cheaper at the livestock market in Čačak, since the sale of this category of sheep usually took place at a price of 450 din/kg.

The offer was good, and the sales average. The fall in the selling price of lambs was also recorded at the livestock market in Kragujevac, as the dominant price was 500 dinars/kg last week.

The purchase price of this category of sheep was lower compared to the previous period and in slaughterhouses in the Šumadija region, because the amount of 500 din/kg dominated.

The dominant price of lambs was 550 din/kg, and gilts 240 din/kg last week at the livestock market in Požarevac. The offer was average, and sales were weak.
