The sound of explosions is heard on the border of Ukhia

This time, after Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar, the border of Ukhia is shaking with the sound of mortar shell explosions and heavy weapons firing from Myanmar’s Rakhine state.

Loud explosions are heard across the borders of Palangkhali Union of Ukhia since Tuesday (November 19) morning. Palangkhali Union Parishad Chairman Gafur Uddin Chowdhury confirmed the matter.

He said, on Tuesday, across the border of Palangkhali Union of Ukhia, Myanmar’s Rakhine state, there was a loud explosion of mortar shells and heavy weapons shells.

Family members living on the border, including children, are terrified by the loud sound of this explosion. Before this, last 3-4 months ago, loud explosions were heard on this border.

In this regard, Ukhia Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Acting UNO Jareen Tasnim Tasin did not answer the phone.
