The space capsule of Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin bears the name of a Hungarian physicist –

During its twenty-second mission, the spacecraft enters suborbital orbit for the first time without a human passenger.

On the morning of the first day of the week, American tycoon Jeff Bezos’ New Shepard spaceship of Blue Origin, a company created to support space travel, will set off. The billionaire entering the space race is still at the beginning of the journey, but it seems that he is quite determined to achieve his goals.

Like Elon Musk, the well-known entrepreneur wants to get into the game and make commercial space travel more widely available with his company. His company’s newest spacecraft, New Shepard, will take off early this week from a privately owned base in West Texas.

The mission was given the name NS-27, which on the one hand refers to the name of the spacecraft, and on the other hand to the serial number of the expedition. The device will start this journey without a crew, but the passenger capsule placed on the top of the rocket will already be attached before departure to be tested together with it.

The space capsule – with a slight twist – got its name from the Kármán line (RSS Kármán Line), named after the famous Hungarian physicist Tódor Kármán, from which we calculate the limit of outer space. As the name of the mission suggests, this will be New Shepard’s 27th voyage.

A total of six people were transported during 8 of these trips as part of round-the-world trips. These actually happened with an earlier version of the device, however, according to the statements regarding the new version, it will be suitable for longer trips as well.
