Samsung’s latest, sixth-generation Galaxy Z Fold is an advanced device, but with a few flaws. The South Korean manufacturer somehow ignored the fact that the competition can make really thin jigsaws and came up with a phone whose thickness is two generations behind. That’s why he had to rush to help with a special edition that fulfills what Samsung promised from it.
Samsung extinguishes emerging problems
The first reports about the sales of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 model were not exactly favorable for Samsung, and the lower interest in this puzzle made it clear that the train is starting to miss in this segment. The South Korean manufacturer rushed to this account with a special edition that offers both a thinner construction and, for example, an improved camera and larger displays.
Samsung clearly wanted to show that it can face the competition head on, and although even the special edition of the Fold 6 model does not have such a thin design as, for example, the Honor Magic V3 or the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, it is an order of magnitude better product than the original Fold 6. And how it looks like it, customers appreciate it and this new variant is selling really well.

The special edition is a sales hit
Although Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Fold 6 SE only in its homeland, i.e. in South Korea, it is still a big sales hit. When this model went on sale on October 25, it was completely sold out in just 10 minutes, and the second batch was snapped up even faster by enthusiastic buyers. The second wave of sales was launched this week and according to the website Android Authority it was disassembled in just 5 minutes.
Samsung is selling this edition only through its official website, and although it has not been specified how many units have been sold, it is evident that there is interest in this edition. Customers are obviously interested in thinner chassis and larger displays, but the main camera with a resolution of 200 Mpx, or a good portion of operating memory with 16 GB of RAM is also a pleasing novelty.
Outside of Korea next year?
Samsung should offer the Fold in two versions next year as well (Galaxy Z Fold 7) and it is possible that this time it will already go to the world. He practiced everything on the current model and verified that there was interest in it, so he could launch the next generation on other markets as well. The competition in this segment is becoming more and more capable, and Samsung has already convinced itself that it does not pay to rest on its laurels.
