The Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) claims on Friday, October 25, on Telegram, Wednesday’s attack, near Ankara, at the headquarters of the Defense Industries (TAI), reports AFP.

“The slaughter action committed against the TAI compound in Ankara at (local time) 15.30 (and Romanian time), Wednesday, October 23, was carried out by a team of the “Battalion of the Immortals”, announces the PKK, which cites the names of the two authors of the attack, a man and a woman.

Two attackers, a man and a woman, carried out Wednesday’s attack with automatic rifles and explosives against the headquarters of Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) in Ankara.

The attack was quickly attributed to the PKK by the Government of Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The operation was “planned for a long time”, announces the PKK, which emphasizes that it has nothing to do with recent political developments in Turkey, whose authorities seem to want to engage in a negotiated solution to the conflict with Kurdish fighters.

It had the objective of transmitting “warnings and messages against the genocidal practices, massacres and isolation practices of the Turkish Government”, announces the PKK.

ERDOGAN: THE AUTHORS OF THE ATTACK INFILTRATED FROM SYRIA

The two perpetrators of the attack “infiltrated” from Syria, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced, quoted by Turkish media on Friday.

“We found out that this terrorist attack developed as an infiltration movement from Syria”, declared the head of the Turkish state in an interview granted to journalists on board the plane he was returning from Kazan, in Russia, where he participated in a extended BRICS summit.

“Operations took place in 40 places throughout the night. it is obvious that the terrorists have paid a very heavy tribute,” he said, referring to Turkish airstrikes targeting “PKK targets” in northern Iraq and Syria since Wednesday evening.

“Our security forces immediately intervened against the terrorists and quickly neutralized the terrorist who committed the attack. As you know, the terrorist killed herself”, added the head of the Turkish state.

Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on Thursday that the two perpetrators of the attack, including a woman, were identified as “members of the PKK”, which has been in an armed struggle against Ankara for decades.

The attacker detonated a bomb she had on her, after she was wounded by Turkish police, according to Turkish media.

Air strikes targeted PKK targets in northern Iraq on Thursday evening, the Turkish Ministry of Defense announced.

“We continue our work to completely eliminate terrorism from the source. if the source is Syria, then we will do what is needed there, as we did,” Erdogan threatened.
