The third Nelt Customer Day was held

BELGRADE – The traditional event was attended by representatives of Nelt’s partner companies from Serbia and the region

The traditional, third Nelt Customer Day, was held today with the presence of representatives of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and a large number of directors and managers from leading companies in logistics, transport and trade. The focus of this year’s Customer Day was on the transformation of the entire logistics sector, integrated supply chains and intermodal transport, through the strengthening of regional partnerships.

Among other things, the Nelt Group announced at the event the construction of a new warehouse in Dobanovci, as part of the largest investment cycle in the company’s history in the next three to four years, which will be a significant support for further business growth, increasing operational efficiency and raising the level of service quality.

“The plan is to build one of the most technologically advanced storage systems in the region, in order to provide faster, more efficient and better service to our customers compared to other distributors. Our goal is to improve logistics capacities, with a special focus on automation and optimization of the logistics network and our operations. Distribution is and will remain the heart of Nelt’s business. But, excellence in the provision of logistics services and knowledge, as well as management of brands, are two big, competitive advantages of Nelt”, he said. Darko Lukić, general manager of Nelt Group and added that the company continues with accelerated revenue growth this year, as well as geographical expansion of business.

As part of the panel discussion “Transformation of the shipping industry in the supply chain” in which they participated Ivić VodopijaManaging Director for Eastern Europe of Maersk, Stevica CarapićRegional Director of MSC, Erich Cossuttafounder and president of Dragon Maritime Group, with Vuk Mijanovićmanager of the supply chain and development of logistics services of the Nelt Group, discussed, among other things, the importance of partnerships that are developing in the shipping industry, what these partnerships mean for supply chains, as well as which technological solutions are currently transforming the shipping industry.

The keynote speaker at the event was Lukasz Musialskipartner and senior consultant at Chaingers, who spoke about modern trends in logistics and ways in which companies can adapt to changes in the market.

“The European logistics real estate market is constantly expanding and has been recording a significant growth in demand for storage and logistics space for years. In order to meet the requirements, companies from the industry must respond to the needs of the market and clients and keep up with trends by building efficient and automated warehouses. Nelt’s investment in new logistics infrastructure is an example of how to respond to the growing demands of the market,” said Musialski.

The event ended with a conversation between Goran Popović, director of Bambi operations, and Nenad Diković, contract logistics sector manager, about the integrated cooperation of Bambi and Nelt companies.and what all needs to be done for such a partnership to be successful.

Nelt Customer Day is an annual opportunity for the exchange of experiences, ideas and innovations among leaders in logistics, transport and trade. The key message from this event is that supply chains must be integrated in order to be efficient and resilient, through a partnership approach of all links – manufacturers, logistics and shipping companies, distributors and retailers, for the sake of end consumer satisfaction.
