Domestic. On the fourth of July, the police were called to a villa in Tollarp where a father and his daughter in primary school age were found dead. Now the preliminary investigation is closed because the father is assumed to be the sole perpetrator and is dead.
A boy was also found injured at the scene and the father is suspected of having murdered his daughter before taking his own life.
The investigation is now closed because no preliminary investigation is conducted against deceased persons, according to chief prosecutor Pernilla Åström.
The boy has been questioned by the police and has been able to give a clear picture of the sequence of events.
Pernilla Åström tells Expressen that all information indicates that no other person was involved, and that the man tried to kill the boy before he took his own life.
The boy was taken to hospital and will be fine with no lasting physical injuries.
The death investigation will also be closed, but exactly when is yet to be determined as police are still handling the final parts of the case.
Åström does not want to comment on whether there were any warning signals or whether the police had been involved earlier.
