the TOP 10 of the most anticipated cars

There are those who plan to change cars in 2025, those who are just curious about what comes onto the market. It is precisely for them that we have decided to draw up a ranking of the 10 most interesting SUVs that 2025 has in store for us, some of which have only been announced, while others are close to putting their tires on the road. Here are the ten models to keep an eye on in the new year.

10. Electric Range Rover

The electric Range Rover is a car for a few but there are solid reasons why we included it in the ranking. For starters, it’s the first electric Range Rover in history. So expectations are high.

Then electric motors and off-road vehicles get along very well given the possibility of better controlling traction and delivery and, in fact, Land Rover has released images of the tests on snow and sand of the Range while it is developing a new management system of traction, capable of individually distributing the driving torque to each wheel a millisecond. No compromises even on the fording capacity: 85 centimetres.

The platform is the same MLA as the thermal version, equipped here with an 800V architecture for fast charging. We don’t know any other data but the performance will be similar to that of the version with the V8.

9. BMW iX3

We have included the BMW iX3 because, in addition to the model itself, it is very interesting for what cannot be seen, i.e. the platform, the Neue Klasse.

Being redesigned from scratch, it promises autonomy 30% higher than before, therefore it should exceed 600 km thanks to refined aerodynamics, 800V voltage for faster charging – 300 km in ten minutes – and an upgradeable super brain which, instead of many control units, integrates the control of driving dynamics, efficiency and safety. And then there is the style, with the return to a more sober and vertical grille.

8. Bentley Urban SUV

Another car for very few, it’s true, but aren’t you curious to see what Bentley comes up with for its first electric? Also because it invents a segment that wasn’t there before, that of Luxury SUV from the city, and the aim is to attract new, younger customers. Mainly Chinese.

The debut is set for 2026 but we could already know more at the end of the 25th, or perhaps see it in full given that the first teaser has already been released. It will be smaller than the Bentayga, therefore less than 5 meters long, and according to those working on the project the autonomy “will be surprising, the charging speed extraordinarily good and the sound unique and exhilarating”.

7. Jaecoo 5

The Omoda and Jaecoo brands want to do things big. They have already hit the ground running in 2024 but, in ’25, the models become more numerous and, in our opinion, the Jaecoo 5 will be successful. It is just under 4.40 meters long, with a style designed to appeal to Europe and reminiscent of that of the Range Rover Evoque, with a suspended roof and black stripe at the rear.

The interiors are of quality and with a very modern, minimal design and lots of on-board technology. The interesting thing is the wide choice of different engines: 1.6 petrol, with 147 HP and automatic transmission, the electric version but above all the interesting full hybrid. It arrives mid-year.

6.Audi Q3

The Audi Q3, Audi’s compact SUV, is completely renewed, taking advantage of the MQB Evo platform which already forms the backbone of the new Volkswagen Tiguan and the Cupra Terramar, with which it should also have something else in common given that they are made in the same plant, in Hungary.

Therefore we expect plug-in hybrid variants with over 100 km of electric range, mild hybrid combined with the petrol engine or diesel, even with all-wheel drive. And let’s hope it comes back too RS Q3perhaps with the 2.5 5-cylinder. The interiors will be completely renewed, perhaps with inspiration from the A5 and Q5, with the latter also expected to resemble it in the exterior.

5. Jeep Compass

The third generation of the Jeep Compass is still produced in Melfi, together with the new DS N°8 with which it shares the platform STLA Mediumwhich is the same as the Peugeot 3008. An architecture which, in addition to the electric variant with battery of around 97 kWh and declared autonomy of 700 km, is envisaged with the 1.2 three-cylinder mild hybrid petrol engine with 136 HP and with the 1.6 plug -in from 195 HP. Except that, if for the Peugeot all-wheel drive is only available on the electric, for the Jeep we would also expect it on a hybrid.

We don’t know what the interiors will be like, but it’s easy to think that in the center there will be a large screen and then digital instrumentation. The style announced by the teaser gives the idea of an off-road vehicle, with square and regular shapes taken from the Avenger.

4. Tesla Model Y

Codename: Juniper. This is what the updated version of what was the best-selling car in the world in 2023 and 2024 is called internally. So why isn’t the Tesla Model Y on the podium? Because it’s a restyling and not a brand new car.

As on the updated Model 3, the front changes with thinner LED matrix headlights and a more aerodynamic bumper, while at the back we expect “C” headlights. Inside, the 15-inch screen remains but with renewed infotainment, still without Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The transmission controls are also becoming digital, so goodbye to the lever on the steering column.

Double wireless smartphone charging for in the tunnel while, behind, a new 8″ display for passenger entertainment and climate control. Rear or all-wheel drive with respective powers of 170 and 250 kW and improved autonomy, with a starting price similar to the current one, i.e. approximately 43,000 euros.

3. Volkswagen T-Roc

We get on the podium with what has become a bit “the new Golf”, that is, the new queen of sales if we talk about Volkswagen. The 2025 T-Roc is all new, with an MQB Evo platform capable of hosting various electrified solutions.

We imagined it with a full-width LED strip and slightly less squared headlights, similar to those of the Tiguan. Even from the spy photos circulating it is clear that the general shapes remain very similar but we know that the length grows and reaches 4.30 metres.

In terms of engines, a wide choice. The 1.0 three-cylinder petrol could be confirmed but the four-cylinder 1.5 mild hybrid petrol and the 2.0 turbodiesel, also with all-wheel drive, are taken for granted. Well-informed sources say that the 1.5 plug-in is also arriving with electric ranges of 100 km while rumors are circulating regarding the arrival of a new full hybrida first for Volkswagen!

2. Fiat Grande Panda

The second most anticipated car of 2025 is the Fiat Grande Panda, about which we know almost everything. In the first part of the year we will also be able to test it on the road, while deliveries will have to wait until the first half of the year.

Italian design, global platform and a length of 3.99 meters. Attention: it does not replace the “Pandina” joins it by expanding the family, a bit like the 500X did with the 500. And in fact, even other models arrive, with the first presented in July 2025. Well-finished, very clever interiors, with two screens over 10 inches, different storage and charging sockets and various connectivity. You can have it electric, with a 113 HP engine and a range of around 300 km, and hybrid, with the 1.2 three-cylinder mild hybrid 100 HP, with starting prices under 19,000 euros.

1. Alfa Romeo Stelvio

With the second generation of the Alfa Romeo Stelvio quite a few things change but not the place of production, which remains Cassino, in Lazio. Some sources told us what it should look like and we reconstructed it in the rendering you see.

The grille with a perforated snake and cross has already debuted on the Junior, while the two-level headlights are now very fashionable. The side remains similar to the current one, while behind there is a large LED triangle that cuts through the sheet metal. Too early to talk about the interior, what is certain is that we have to say goodbye to the Giorgio platform and welcome the new one STLA Large.

It is a modular architecture that will be used on many models and which allows fully electric traction, with the Quadrifoglio which could reach 1,000 HP, but also the use of petrol engines. The platform has already debuted in the United States on the Dodge Charger with a 550 hp 3.0 inline six-cylinder.
