Top: rain of contracts following the state visit to Morocco

Flop: mega fines in the low-voltage electrical equipment sector

Flop arrow Two years after their indictment, the electrical equipment manufacturers Schneider Electric and Legrand, as well as the distributors Rexel and Sonepar, were sentenced on Wednesday October 30, to a total amount of 470 million euros in fines for vertical cartels on resale prices.

Schneider Electric received the highest sanction (207 million euros fine). For Legrand, the required amount amounts to 43 million euros. The two industrialists refute the complaints made against them and reserve the right to appeal. In the electrical equipment sector, sanctions had already been previously imposed by the Competition Authority.
