Paris Saint-Germain paid 70 million euros for the transfer of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from Napoli.

The French champion did not think too much and made the announcement on the club’s official website.

Paris Saint-Germain have dealt a huge blow in the transfer market. PSG paid 70 million euros for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

The former Napoli player has signed a contract valid for the next four and a half seasons and will wear the number seven shirt.

The Georgian is delighted with his transfer on the French champion: “It’s a dream to be here. I have heard many very positive things about Paris Saint-Germain. It’s a huge pride to join this club and I’m looking forward to wearing my new colors,” said the footballer.

The Parisian formation wanted to make a more extensive description of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who came from SSC Napoli.

“Paris Saint-Germain is delighted to announce the transfer of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. The 23-year-old footballer, who will wear the number 7 shirt, becomes the first Georgian player in the club’s history.

Born in Tbilisi, Georgia on 12 February 2001, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was 11 years old when he joined local club Dinamo Tbilisi in 2012.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia joined FC Roustavi on a free transfer on 20 March 2018, before being loaned to Lokomotiv Moscow for half a season in 2019.

Looking for minutes, he signed with Rubin Kazan in the summer of 2019, where he became one of the most promising talents in the Russian league, scoring 9 goals and providing 18 assists in 73 appearances.

The following year, the Georgian continued to impress with Dinamo Batumi, scoring 8 goals and providing 2 assists in 11 appearances.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s meteoric rise continued when he joined Napoli in July 2022. In the first month of the competition, his excellent performances earned him the Serie A Player of the Month award. On the European stage, the Georgian proved decisive with an assist in his first Champions League game against Liverpool.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and his teammates helped Napoli end a 33-year drought. Crowned the best player and best passer in Serie A, as well as the best young player in the Champions League, the Georgia international finished 17th in the Ballon d’Or, showing the full extent of his talent.

During his time at Napoli, he made 107 appearances, scoring 30 goals and providing 29 assists in all competitions, becoming a true landmark in his position.

The new striker of Paris Saint-Germain, who becomes the first Georgian player in the history of the club, has been a real pillar of his national team for the last 6 years.

After being called up to various categories of the Georgia national team, he made his first appearance for the senior team on 7 June 2019 in a match against Gibraltar.

The left winger has now played 40 games for his country, scoring 17 goals and providing 9 assists. Recently called up to participate in EURO 2024, he has been one of the key figures in Georgia’s run to the last eight,” announced PSG on site-ul official.
