The UNFINISHED community meets again this year in the House of Ideas

3141 participants including an endurance athlete, an activist poet and a bread sommelier explore the edition’s theme – PRAXIS.

The multidisciplinary festival UNFINISHED, with a community of over 20,000 people, from over 70 countries, announces the first speakers for the ninth edition. pianist Faraj Suleimanthe poet I am Okrifounder of the Slowness platform, Peter Conrad, Lara Schuetzbread sommelier, Barbara Soalheirofounder of the MESA program, Alin and Tibi Useriuthe founders of Via Transilvanica, Grace Boylemultisensory artist, and many others will explore the theme of the edition – PRAXIS – and they will experience different ways of turning their thoughts into concrete actions.

This year, the 3141 participants will meet between September 27-29, in Bucharest, at the HOUSE OF IDEAS (University House and Garden), where participation is only based on a selection process: apply.unfinished.ro

Nasturtium Grosthe artistic director of the festival, stated that without much intention, the themes of recent years tell a story. In 2020, we responded to the pandemic medical crisis with Confidence (TRUST), then in 2021, after a year of introspection, I realized that we are going through many more crises and that it is time to admit that in many aspects of life we are in the twelfth hour (MIDNIGHT). In 2022, the UNFINISHED community began to look at things differently and tried to find inspiration and solutions in less obvious places (OFF-CENTER) so that later, in 2023, we take a break from the chaotic carousel to observe and digest everything we have learned in these years in silence (SILENCE). This year is the time for action, but not instinctive and hasty, but systemic, long-term, and PRAXIS was the right answer. PRAXIS represents the embodiment of philosophical thinking in concrete actions. Inspired by the concept of praxis, this year’s theme is about practicing what we preach, turning our ideas into lasting and impactful endeavors.
