The trade union Unionen expands the Tesla strike with two more sympathy measures.
“The Union wants to send a clear signal that in Sweden it is the collective agreement that applies to security, influence and order in the labor market,” says Martin Wästfelt, head of negotiations at the Union, in a press release.
On Thursday, it is therefore announced that work related to Tesla will be blocked at J&B Maskinteknik, a company that regularly performs work at Tesla’s workshops.
In addition, the union has announced a blockade at the Technical Works in Linköping. The blockade aims to prevent Tesla’s charging posts from being newly connected in Tekniska verken’s electricity network areas in Katrineholm and Linköping.
The original conflict is between Tesla and If Metall, where the latter tried for a long time to get a collective agreement. Unionized Tesla workers have been on strike for over a year.
