The Road Company has extended, once again, for July 24 and July 31 respectively, the submission of offers for the design and execution of the Pipirig – Leghin and Miercurea Nirajului – Sărățeni mountain lots on the A8 Unirii Highway.
The Pipirig – Leghin lot is 19 kilometers long and the value of the contract is between 3.3 and 3.8 billion lei. 7 tunnels with a total length of 1.4 kilometers and 46 other structures will be built on the route: bridges, viaduct passages. The duration of the contract is 4 years (12 months design and 36 months execution), reports Economedia.
The Miercurea Nirajului – Sărățeni lot (23 km) is the first lot of the mountain section on the A8 – Autostrada Unirii. The value of the contract is between 3.3 and 3.9 billion lei, and the financing is provided (40%) by the Transport Program.
Pipirig – Leghin, the second lot launched in the auction on the mountain section
“The object of the contract is the design and execution of the Târgu Mureș – Târgu Neamț Motorway: Section II: Miercurea Nirajului – Leghin, km 22+000 – km 181+195: Lot 2c: Pipirig – Vânători Neamț (Leghin), in length of approximately 19, 3 km, and includes the construction of 7 tunnels with a total length of approximately 1.44 km, in accordance with the provisions of the works contract”, says the SEAP, according to the cited source.
According to a communication made by Cristian Pistol, the head of the National Road Infrastructure Administration Company (CNAIR), the Pipirig – Vânători Neamț Lot (Leghin) will have a length of 19.3 km, and 7 tunnels with a length of total of 1.44 km.
One delay each month on the Unirii Autostrada
The latest problems on Autostrada Unirii appeared in June, due to the bridge over the Prut at Ungheni, where CNAIR postponed for the third time the evaluation of bids to choose a builder.
The problem has not yet been resolved, given that EU funds cover half of the construction cost and the risk is to miss the execution deadline provided for in the Union Motorway Law.
