According to the same source, the University of Bucharest is the first university in Romania in terms of graduate employability results (Employment Outcomes) and reputation among employers (Employer Reputation), according to the latest edition of the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings 2025, one of the more well-known rankings from the academic space worldwide.
This year, the University of Bucharest remains in the top of the most important universities in the ranking. Thus, for the indicator aimed at the employability of graduates (Employment Outcomes), the University of Bucharest is positioned in the first 235 universities in the world out of 1,503 institutions that were included in this year’s ranking, while for the indicator aimed at reputation among employers (Employer Reputation), the University of Bucharest ranks 462 internationally.
The university has 19 faculties that offer 95 bachelor’s programs, 223 master’s programs, 23 doctoral schools in specific fields and a school for interdisciplinary doctoral studies, over 50 centers and nine research stations.
Starting from 2019, UB is part of the European Civic University CIVIS together with ten other prestigious European universities, the University of Aix-Marseille, the National and Capodistrian University of Athens, the Free University of Brussels, the Autonomous University of Madrid, the “Sapienza” University of Rome , the University of Stockholm, the “Eberhard Karls” University of Tubingen, the University of Glasgow, the University of Lausanne and the “Paris Lodron” University of Salzburg.
