One UI 7 is expected to arrive first on the devices of the S24 series and the new folding Galaxy models.
It is rumored in the world of technology that Android 15 does not promise to be too big and will bring little new things with it. In contrast, according to certain industry rumors, Samsung’s own software version, One UI, is even more so. The program, which is celebrating its seventh edition, has not undergone many changes in recent years, but according to news, this has come to an end.
A well-known and credible leaker stated the other day that One UI 7 could be the most innovative Samsung Android version of all time. This is a surprise as the South Korean company did not exert itself much during the last few updates.
According to the tipster called Ice Universe, no previous version has brought as many changes as the current one. It would be difficult to say exactly what this means without context, but certain things may indicate that, among other things, the design will also be renewed.
According to Ice Universe’s post, “the icon has been redrawn”, which could really refer to external changes, or possibly refinement of the animation. He also adds that the style of the drop-down bar and icons, for example, will most certainly not remain in the form known so far.
The leaker also confirms a new function: App Lock comes separately from Secure Folder. It will offer the opportunity for the first tests with the beta version, and then One UI 7 will first become available on devices such as the Galaxy S24 series and the recently introduced Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6.
The new folding mobile phones can already be pre-ordered with a trade-in value of 1,200 dollars (HUF 430,000), free storage that can be doubled and a number of other discounts. Samsung will begin shipping the aforementioned devices, the Galaxy Ring, Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro, as well as the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra, on July 24.
