The United States of America will send a new package of military aid to Ukraine in the amount of 425 million dollars, the White House announced today.

The package includes additional funds for air defense, air-to-ground missiles, armored vehicles and other critical munitions to meet Ukraine’s urgent needs, the statement said, adding that President Joseph Biden spoke about it by phone with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

In the coming months, the US will provide Ukraine with a number of additional capabilities, including hundreds of anti-aircraft interceptors, dozens of tactical air defense systems, additional artillery systems, significant amounts of ammunition, hundreds of armored personnel carriers and infantry fighting vehicles, the White House announced.

During the phone conversation, Zelensky informed Biden about his “victory plan” and the leader “instructed his teams to engage in further consultations on the next steps,” the statement said.

It added that Biden and Zelensky pledged to intensify security assistance planning together with international partners, to ensure that Ukraine gets everything it needs to defend itself.

As part of those efforts, Biden will host a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in November to coordinate their additional assistance, the statement said.

White House spokeswoman Karin Jean-Pierre confirmed that Biden will visit Germany this week, but will not meet with Zelensky.

The US president was supposed to travel to Germany last week, but postponed his trip due to Hurricane Milton. His meeting with Zelenskiy at the American Air Force Base Ramstein was also planned at that time.
