Based on this circumstance, the local corporation decided to suspend the delivery of the awards for this contest pending the aforementioned report, which was communicated this Thursday. Gil has also announced that this award will be celebrated publicly only with the winners, without the finalists having space in it and within the framework of the City Council’s Equality awards. “The Equality awards, the most important that this department has, will have a section to publicly recognize the winners of this contest,” he specified.

The council will publish all the texts awarded this year at the Beatriu Civera. “As the legal advice report establishes, the rules determine that the book of the short story contest must be published by both the winners and the finalists,” stated Gil.

The councilor explained that she has “spoken to both the winners and the finalists” to convey this fact to them and has indicated that “they have all given their consent to be able to include” Flores Juberías’ writing in this book. “Therefore, based on the agreement with all the finalists and winners and the consensus with them, they will be included in the book,” he added.

However, he insisted that the finalists will not be at the awards ceremony.
